1 -  NORMAL ENROLMENT PROCEDURE
(also for Chinese students who have some knowledge of Italian  - at least A2 level)

To enrol at Italian universities, international students (non EU citizens) should go to the  Italian Embassy of Consulate and apply to pre-enrol at the university of their choice.
Pre-enrolments are in April and May (check with your nearest embassy for exact dates).
Students must have some knowledge of Italian, at least A2 level. Naturally this level will not be sufficient to follow courses at university which will be entirely in Italian. The embassy will send your pre-enrolment to the university, who will inform the embassy of your acceptance. The embassy will then give the student their visa to come to Italy (usually during the second half of August) to take their entrance test Students who attend our preparatory course are exempt from this test at the following universities:
Ancona; Camerino; Chieti-Pescara; Ferrara; Pavia; Urbino; Svizzera It., Firenze (L.A.B.A.).
