URBANIA
is the
right place for our courses. In the historical Metauro valley,
Urbania is an old city of the Marches, central Italy, only
16 Km from Urbino (Provincia di Pesaro e Urbino), situated
between the Adriatic sea and Tuscany. Urbania, known during
the Middle Ages and the Renaissance as Casteldurante, was
a splendid centre of art and culture. Donato Bramante and
other important artists were born there, among whom the illustrious
masters of the XVI and XVII century ceramics. Due to its mild
climate, beautiful countryside and the warm hospitality of
its inhabitants, the Dukes of Urbino chose Urbania as their
ideal country residence ("Il Castello delle Delizie").
Our
formula "small courses in a small city"
- unique in their kind and, in certain aspects, unrepeatable
- has been unanimously appreciated by our students. Small
courses in a small city - a city that is not swamped
by foreign students and tourists - means that course
members will be loosely bound into the life of a very pleasant
community.
Surrounded
by mountains and gently undulating hills, with its breathking
and unspoiled landscapes, with its ancient monuments and
art treasures, its modern sporting facilities, and its nearness
to the historical hill towns of central Italy, Urbania is
the ideal place for an unforgettable experience of life
and study in Italy (for further information see "Where
the courses take place").
