We have designed a preparatory Semester for Seminarians, Priests and Religious who will begin their theological studies but do not yet have the linguistic and cultural background needed to achieve the maximum benefit from their studies. We offer different courses that can easily be adapted to meet individual needs:
 
1)  Linguistic semester:
Italian for international students (grammar, conversation and culture) 278 hrs
Ecclesiatical Latin 178 hrs
Biblical Greek 144 hrs
(Plus optional courses in History of Art, History of Christian Art or Introduction to Italian Literature, Italian Institutions)
Total 600 hrs,   € 3,540
(€ 590 per month)
 
2) Linguistic-philosophical semester:
for international students who already know Latin but not Greek and do not have an academic background in Philosophy.
Italian for international students (grammar, conversation and culture) 300 hrs
Biblical Greek 150 hrs
Theoretical Philosophy 80 hrs
History of Philosophy 70 hrs
(Plus optional courses in History of Art, History of Christian Art, Introduction to Italian Literature, Italian Institutions)
Total 600 hrs,  € 3,540

3) Preparatory term (12 weeks), 2 July - 22 September 2012:
Italian for international students (language and conversation) 252 hrs
Italian culture 48 hrs
Total 300 hrs,  € 1,520 (discount included)

5) Corso di 8 settimane

Housing

We offer 4 different housing options.
The school arranges housing for students and assists them during the course of their stay. By way of example we list some lodging options available in Urbania. Simply indicate with numbers 1, 2 and 3 your choices in order of preference and every effort will be made to accommodate your choice, according to the date of your application.


 
1) Furnished flat with kitchen
One-room flat for one person, double room or single room, (in flat with other students.
All apartments have a kitchen, bathroom and one or more bedrooms.
The apartments are provided with bed linens and towels.
2) Host family
Half board, double room or single room.
3) Monastery (with Nuns)
Prices on request.

Our school in Urbania (located in the northeastern province of Pesaro and Urbino) offers a series of unique advantages:

  • Urbania is a pleasant, rural town: quiet and safe, rich in history and the arts. There is no mass tourism and visitors routinely find it easy to make friends and practise their Italian at all levels.

  • Courses in grammar, conversation and culture are offered at 8 levels; class sizes are small (6 – 12 persons); teaching programs can be adapted to individual needs.

  • Specialized programs adapted to philosophical and theological students.
