This course is a unique opportunity for pianists and conductors wishing to develop and discover their accompanying skills while learning the Italian language in Italy.

Through an intensive program of music making in the very special festival environment of Urbania participants will have the opportunity to develop the necessary skills required to accompany singers.

Through active participation with singers from all over the world participants will be made aware of how to successfully create an intimate rapport with the singer enabling him/her to breath with their musical partner.

Course highlights include among others learning how to carry our musical partner through phrases, developing sensitivity to the creation of special tone colourations and developing our imagination and fantasy enabling us to bring the instrument to life allowing it to sing and sound like an orchestra.

In this way the singer/pianist duo can embark on an exciting journey of fulfilling and exciting music making and in doing so form vital communicative partnerships. All repertoire enables us to learn these skills, whether opera, lied or song.
