Welcome to the Centro Studi
Italiani, the first school of Italian
language and culture for
international students in the
Marche, founded by Carlo_
Amedeo_Pasotto in 1986. Since
then students from over 120
countries throughout the world have
attended the school.
Urbania is a charming town, rich in
art and history, friendly and safe,
where everyone speaks Italian and
it is easy to make friends with the
locals and practise the language;
an alternative to big towns that are
invaded by mass tourism.
Furthermore the territory, between
Tuscany and the Adriatic sea, is
one of the most beautiful and best
preserved in Italy: mountains, sea,
hills, and near to the famous art
cities of Central Italy.
Our courses in Italian language and
culture are unique in their kind. Our
standard intensive course is 25
hours per week (and not 20, which
is normally considered intensive),
with a rich and varied programme
including conversation and
cultural subjects (included in
course fees). We also offer a varied
programme of special courses,
including arts and handicrafts and
traditional Italian cooking.

For organized groups and special courses we can arrange for courses to take place  in a college in Varese, the "garden city" of Lombardy. The campus is in a  centuries old park with  excellent sports facilities. Students are housed in a residence in single or double rooms with private bathroom.
Varese is near Milan and is just a few miles from Milano-Malpensa airport and from the canton of Ticino (Switzerland). There are two railways with frequent trains to Milan (approx 40 min. journey). Students can get special rate season tickets. This  is an ideal solution for studying Italian in Italy: you can  live and study in a well equipped garden city and  reach the centre of Milan in a very short  time. You can enjoy the advantages of Milan without having the problems of living in a big city.
Milan is the great metropolis of Northern Italy, the business capital and at the same time rich in art, culture and fashion.
