Welcome to the Centro Studi
Italiani, the first school of Italian
language and culture for
international students in the
Marche, founded by Carlo_
Amedeo_Pasotto in 1986. Since
then students from over 120
countries throughout the world have
attended the school.
Urbania is a charming town, rich in
art and history, friendly and safe,
where everyone speaks Italian and
it is easy to make friends with the
locals and practise the language;
an alternative to big towns that are
invaded by mass tourism.
Furthermore the territory, between
Tuscany and the Adriatic sea, is
one of the most beautiful and best
preserved in Italy: mountains, sea,
hills, and near to the famous art
cities of Central Italy.
Our courses in Italian language and
culture are unique in their kind. Our
standard intensive course is 25
hours per week (and not 20, which
is normally considered intensive),
with a rich and varied programme
including conversation and
cultural subjects (included in
course fees). We also offer a varied
programme of special courses,
including arts and handicrafts and
traditional Italian cooking.

SEMESTER ABROAD
Courses and costs


Tuition fee: 6 month course (600 hours language, conversation and culture) Euro 3.599 + credit fees (it depends on your university).

Housing: Euro 1.272 in comfort able furnished apartment with cooking facilities, double room, + utilities according to consumption.

What you can expect


This is a full Italian immersion experience. Students may expect to have reasonable fluency and be fully conversant in Italian by the conclusion of the semester. This is a special opportunity to enrich your personality and education at the source of western culture. You will learn a language that stems from latin which will facilitate your learning of other latin based languages: Spanish, French or Portuguese.
