The art courses are an integral part (albeit optional) of the Italian language and culture courses. Two types of courses are offered:

1 Courses for groups of students who enrol individually

This course is 6 hours weekly: 3 on Monday afternoon and 3 on Friday afternoon, both from 14.30 hrs to 17.30 hrs. See the weekly timetable below.

 * Lesson timetable:
morning: 08.50 - 10.50, interval, and 11.20 - 12.20;
Saturday tutorial and revision: 09.00 - 11.00;
conversation and culture afternoons: 14.30 - 16.30/18.30;
art afternoons: 14.30 - 17.30;

Techniques taught, according to the students' requirements: ornate drawing, drawing from life, water-colour technique, wash-drawing technique, oil painting technique, fresco technique, dry plaster decoration.

The cost for a 4-week course (24 hours of lessons) is € 150.00, in addition to the Italian language and culture course. The student pays for material consumption directly to the teacher. Works created are the students' property.

2 Art courses for formed groups

Being always an integral part of the Italian language and culture courses, these courses are organized in collaboration with various Fine Arts academies, universities, art schools, etc. They differ from the previous courses both in their timetable (see the weekly timetable here below) and in their content which is established with each group leader. The teaching may be carried out either by the Italian masters or by the group leaders themselves.

These courses are given a very professional touch and therefore meetings with Italian artists, guided tours to their studios as well as to exhibitions, art galleries, cities renowned for their art (with optional excursions to Urbino, Florence, Siena, Ravenna, Assisi, etc.), museums, etc. are foreseen within the programme.

The total cost of the course (which includes 48 hours of art lessons) is to be established with the management of the Centre of Italian Studies, according to the programme required.
