Carlo Amedeo_Pasotto. Seit den
Anfängen haben Studenten aus
über 120 Ländern die Sprachschule
besucht. Urbania ist eine
wunderschöne Stadt, reich an
Kunst und Kultur
, gastfreundlich
und sicher. Jeder spricht hier
italienisch und es ist hier leicht
Freundschaften zu schließen und
so die italienische Sprache
anzuwenden, eine ideale Alternative
gegenüber den vom
Massentourismus durchdrungenen
Großstädten. Hinzu kommt, dass
das Gebiet zwischen der Toskana
und der Adria eines der schönsten
und historischsten in Italien ist.
Berge, das Meer, Hügelketten
sowie die Nähe zu den
Hauptkulturstädten in Mittelitalien.
Unsere Italienisch- und Kulturkurse
sind einzigartig in Ihrer Art. Unser
Standard-Intensivkurs umfasst 25
Stunden pro Woche ( und nicht nur
20 Stunden, was normalerweise
unter einem Intensivkurs
verstanden wird), mit einem sehr
abwechslungsreichen Programm
reich an Unterrichtsmaterial
welches sowohl Konversation als
auch Kenntnisse der italienischen
Kultur beinhaltet alles in den
Kursgebühren enthalten). Wir
bieten außerdem eine große Vielfalt
an Spezialkursen an, unter
anderem Kunstkurse und Kurse
über die traditionelle italienische
Küche.

SEMESTER ABROAD
Conversation course

Conversation is practised above all the last hour of the morning (3rd hour) when students put into practice what they have studied the first two hours, and on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, from 2.30 to 4.30 p.m (for beginners and pre-intermediates). The program is graduated according to the students' level and starts from the simplest forms of conversation (beginners) until reaching a level where discussions are carried out on complex subjects (intermediate). Advanced students have the choice of either following a conversation course or, alternatively, following classes on various Italian cultural subjects.

Cultural subjects

The language program is enriched by some fundamental subjects to help the student learn about Italy and its way of life. In addition to the listed subjects, the cultural program comes complete with excursions and guided visits (Wednesday afternoons and Sundays) and by means of "cultural evenings" (Mondays and Fridays) that make up an interesting program as well as concert evenings, lectures, "cineforum" and other. The material covered in the program is as follows:

History of Italy, 24 hrs
Introduction to the history of Italy, from pre-roman times to now. It concentrates above all from the time of the fall of the Roman Empire and places particular emphasis on the history of the Renaissance and 19th and 20th centuries ( the "Risorgimento" and the formation of a unified State). The student is guided through an overall picture of the evolution of Italian history and a knowledge of the principle events that have determined its evolution.

Italian literature, 32 hrs
Historic design of Italian literature from its origins to the end of the 19th century. Commentated readings from the works of principle authors. Short accounts of language history and reflections on the evolution of contemporary Italian.

History of Art, 32 hrs
Presentation of the principle moments of Italian art across the centuries, from Byzantine art (Ravenna) to the 19th century. Particular attention is placed upon the study of Renaissance art, relying also on the considerable documentation present in our region and on guided theme visits. The art history lessons also have a program aimed at complementing the Wednesday afternoon and Sunday excursions. Regarding modern and contemporary art, there are also planned visits to art galleries and displays.

Italian institutions, 28 hrs
The Italian Constitution and State System. The working world in Italy, social organisations, family and society. The Italian educational system. Reform projects.

Geography and Italian economy, 12 hrs
