PREREQUISITES

minimum age 18
high school diploma
preliminary knowledge of Italian (at least level A2). The professional course also includes 300 hours of Italian language tuition allowing students to reach a medium-high level (at least level B2).


COURSE STRUCTURE

1st level Professional course: 950 ore (300 Preparatory + 650 working as a Professional) + "apprenticeship" (at least 150 ore) at businesses in the field at the end of the course, after the exam. Total Price for the course: 2.590 Euros. This excludes accommodations, bus transfers and daytrips.

The course also includes, other than the Italian lessons, 550 hours of Theory and Practice depending on the topic chosen:
   
Divisions: 1) Tourist business Reception and Service (Hotel)
2) Kitchen (hall and bar)
Qualifications: 1) "Receptionist" (Front and Back Office)
2) Chef
3) Hall service, Co-ordinator and Barman
   


 
Courses start from January 2007. The preparatory course in Italy is 200 hours. It is followed by an intensive course that prepares students for the exam (June) of the third

year at the Istituto Professionale "De Filippi", legally and officially recognised. The internship is carried out after the exam.

Courses start in September. The preparatory course in Italy is 200 hours.
Three year course in state college of further education (post- secondary school). CHF 600 a semester, equivalent to about Euro 370 (CHF 1.200 a year = Euro 740 circa ) for the first and third year. The entire second year is dedicated to a paid professional internship.
